Windows Support Rates

- $150.00 – To backup your files and re-install windows
- $90.00/ hour – Onsite repair outside of regular business hours
- $90.00/ hour – Offsite repair, with FREE pick up and delivery
- $75.00/ hour – Offsite repair, 1 hour travel time charged for pick up and delivery each way. This is preferable for larger jobs
- $190.00/ hour – Onsite repair between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm
What makes Tech911.ca unique is that you only pay for actual hours worked. Here’s an example:
Mary, your secretary, is surfing personal stuff online while on her first coffee break. She downloads a virus and spyware by mistake and it makes her computer stop functioning. Let’s stretch the scenario and say the whole machine is done for and needs to be totally rebuilt. Normally you’d be on the phone to your regular tech demanding he gets there within the hour. He’ll charge you premium rates, because he’s left another client to come help. Your tech will charge you for the full 4-8 hours he spends in your office rebuilding the machine from scratch. That’s a pretty hefty bill at $170.00 an hour. Say $1420.00 for an 8 hour job plus an hour of travel. The machine is fixed for 6:30pm, but it might as well be tomorrow because your staff has gone home.
Here at Tech911.ca the scenario can look a little different.
You call us in the morning to tell us of your problem and we’ll recommend for you to schedule a repair visit for that evening because we know how long it will take. We show up at 6:15 to pick up the box with a promise to have it returned by 7:30am the next morning (prior to extra rate times). We take the machine back to our office and work on it while we’re repairing other customer boxes from that day. Simple things like Windows re-installs take time, but most of it we’re waiting for the machine and not the tech. It takes us 8 hours, as well, to finish the box, but we only charge for the three a technician actually spent clicking and thinking. That’s $85.00 / hour times the three hours of “actual” work plus FREE pickup and delivery = $255.00, plus we’ll provide you with a solution that hopefully will mean the next time it happens it’ll only take an hour to fix it.
As you can see we work things a little differently around here. Our example stretches things a little; we believe that most of the time machines can be fixed with a single hour of billing. That’s why we offer the $90.00/hour FREE pickup and delivery option. Don’t let yourself get bilked and please don’t let rates scare you. Sometimes the greatest value comes from purchasing things that cost a little bit more to start out.

- $190.00/ hour – Onsite repair outside of regular business hours
- $120.00/ hour – Remote repair. Sometimes it’s a quick fix and can be done through a remote connection.
- $120.00/ hour – Offsite repair, 1 hour travel time charged for pick up and delivery each way. This is preferable for huge jobs that may take days to complete
- $360.00/ hour – Onsite repair between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm
