Hi there, my name is JagEsquire and I’ve been drinking Whisky for years. So many years that I’m starting to lose track of which ones I’ve tried and which ones are good and even which ones are great. It is time to fix that by starting to track every Whisky (or Whiskey) I come in contact with here on TransparentSmoke.com.
It is time to take that sometimes smokey, sometimes sweet, always beautiful, spirit and feature it front and centre on it’s own site. I coined TransparentSmoke over two and a half decades ago to refer to the “unknown” that permeates things of quality. It was a beautiful night, in early spring, as I sat under the stars with a fine glass of my favourite whisky. I pondered the meaning of existence, as we all often do, and realized that the transparent smoke in my glass defined Quality. So TransparentSmoke has always been about that intangible delicious quality that exists in the finer things. Lately I have noticed it the most once again in some of the best whiskies in the world. TransparentSmoke refers to a quality that could mean by another word, just plain Awesomeness.
