TASTE: Hops and light citrus with sweet herbal notes and delicate spicy tones.
FINISH: The lingering fresh fruit and hops give way to grains of barley and a signature smooth finish.
Colour: chill filtered and coloured to a caramel
TransparentSmoke: What a surprise for St. Patrick’s day this little bottle was a wonderful change from traditional Jameson. It is still simple and easy like you expect but had more to discover on the nose and palate. By the time I added an ice cube to see what would happen, it magically disappeared with ease. Cool story here in looking this up, Jameson sent its used American Bourbon whiskey casks over to the Franciscan Well brewery, where they were used to aged some IPA beer. After that, the casks made their way back to the distillery, were they were used to make Caskmates IPA.
