TransparentSmoke Review: This deserves ever bit of praise it has got this year. It is hot and strong and complex and delicious. Jim Murray is right it should be World Whisky of the year 2021. That doesn’t take anything away from other great whiskies. But it does focus an intense light on a Canadian under appreciated distillery and highlights that a $58 whisky can shine. Now, I paid substantially more than the $58 MSRP and it was worth every penny. If I can find it again at that price I would pay all of the $135 again in an instant. Tasting it again today makes me think I should maybe pick up this one I recently saw around Edmonton at $284.99 +GST and deposit.
